Know the difference between robotic heart surgery in India and traditional heart surgery

Due to the advancements in the medical science, India now uses Robots for performing heart surgeries. Robotic heart surgery in India is considered as the latest and most advanced technique in the world to perform heart surgery with greatest precision and accuracy.

Robotic Surgery is much more advanced than the traditional open heart surgery. The recovery time of the robotic surgery is much faster than the traditional one. One can get back to his normal activities swiftly.

Rather than waiting several weeks to heal, patients can return back to work or other activities much more quickly usually within three weeks. The hospital stay is also shorter. Moreover, Compared to open cardiac procedures, the time spent in the hospital can sometimes be reduced by as much at 50 percent.

The entire operation may be performed through four to five dime-size incisions, or through a 2- to 5-inch incision at the side of the chest depending upon the case. Traditional open-heart procedures require a longer incision down the centre of the chest as compared to robotic cardiac surgery.

In the robotic heart surgery, decreased damage to tissue and muscle results in pain that does not last as long as after a sternal incision will results to quicker resolution of pain. Tylenol or aspirin are also used in the surgery that is enough to manage pain after hospital discharge.

Generally, Robotic heart surgery in India eliminates the use of heart-lung bypass machine. Blood loss is also minimal as compared to traditional one.
